Guardian Towers

Guardian Towers is the skyline pair east of downtown Calgary — two towers raised together with Axiom from 2013 to 2016, $300M of simultaneous construction.

Building twins is not twice the work of building one. It is a coordination problem: two cores, shared staging, one set of trades who cannot be in both places, and a ground plane that has to take retail while the towers are still climbing.

The photograph is the easy part. The job was keeping two buildings honest to the same date.
